
Don't Suffer In Silence!
Destroying local parkland, Noise nuisance, Dangerous riding, Riding on roads and pavements… sound familiar?
Greater Manchester Police Authority and Greater Manchester Police receive countless calls each week from members of
the public wishing to report off-road nuisance. It is a problem that is affecting the lives of many, and it is a problem that is increasing. GMPA and GMP are determined to tackle this nuisance... are you?
Nuisance can be caused by:
1. off-road vehicles being illegally driven in any public place or;
2. by road-registered vehicles being inappropriately driven anywhere other than a legally designated road or highway.
Off-Road Vehicles include:
Moto Cross, trial and enduro bikes; mini-motos; quadbikes; electric scooters; buzzboards and gopeds; and any other mechanically propelled vehicle which is built for use off-road and should not be used on public roads and pavements or in public spaces.

What you can do to help
We want you to ‘Name and Shame’ culprits of off-road nuisance using our online form which you can view here.
Forms can be completed anonymously and the Police will follow up any names given. Please fill it in and send it back to us by clicking the submit button.
There is also a questionnaire which we ask you to fill in. This questionnaire is separate to the Name and Shame form as it does not require you to name anybody, but is useful for us to examine the extent of the problem in your area.
